Last weekend Rafa took the opportunity to travel with his mother, Ana Maria Parera, who is President of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, to inaugurate a sports school in Anantapur in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. This has been set up in collaboration with Fundación Vincente Ferrer, the Spanish arm of the Rural Development Trust. The aim of this new school is to offer educational, psycho-social, health and nutritional support to more than hundred children who belong to the most backward communities, such as dalits, tribal groups and backward castes.
