Rafa entered both the singles and doubles draws for Indian Wells. In doubles, Rafa partnered with Bernard Tomic. They beat Pablo Carreno Busta and Joao Sousa in the first round, 6-4, 7-6(7) before narrowly losing to the sixth-seeded team of Raven Klaasen and Rajeev Ram in the second, 6-3, 6-7(4), 9-11.
