It's been a long time since we've seen Rafa on court and we still have another three weeks to wait. To ease the suffering here is a selection of some of our favourite points.
These are all taken from the special thread that cincimini started with these words "I'm opening this on suggestion from tiemyshoe and a few others.
Rafa has produced so many amazing points or been part in so many jaw-dropping rallies throughout his career, he deserves a thread for them. It'll make a great place for us to visit when we're licking our wounds from a tough loss, are experiencing withdrawal between tournaments, or simply want to re-live the on-court excitement that our boy produces."
Some wonderful scrambling and a superb backhand volley against Jiri Novak at the US Open in 2006
Classic half volley pick-up against Juan Martin Del Potro in Miami in 2007
and a great drive volley against Novak Djokovic at the same tournament
A winner from a seated position against Roger Federer at Wimbledon 2007
More terrific scrambling against Paul-Henri Mathieu in Montreal 2007
This amazing get against Nikolay Davydenko in Monte Carlo 2008 was the Mercedes Benz Play of the Week.
A perfect forehand down the line pass against Roger Federer at Wimbledon 2008
It's not so much the play against Andy Murray in Toronto 2008 but the roar afterwards that is unforgettable
Brilliant pick-up of a drop shot against Andreas Seppi in Rome 2009
A couple from the Australian Open earlier this year
Classic running forehand round the net against Fernando Verdasco
and the perfect forehand down the line against Roger Federer in the final
And finally one from a very young Rafa against Albert Costa in Monte Carlo back in 2003.
As meriko said when she posted the link "It's nice to see that he kicked ass even before he became Rafa Nadal."
We all look forward to seeing many more like this in the future - starting in Montreal next month.
