You know you're obsessed with Rafa when..
...you accidentally call people Rafa instead of their name... even the girls.
...you leave the car dealership in your new Kia Sorento
...you manage to get up at 6am to watch a Rafa match but on a normal day, you find it near impossible waking up at 8am for school or work
...you have actual intentions of spending up to $1000 so you can see every Rafa match at a tournament
These are just some of the more reasonable answers in our
long running thread.

I think it shows just how obsessed some of us are or maybe just me! Did I say obsessed? I think I meant mentally unstable!
Yup, even if you think you have something in your eye after reading some of the confessions, I have to tell you fellas that it is true, for some at least!

No matter how many years this has been going on for now – whether for 2, 3, or 4 years, you can't even imagine what my family and friends are going through. That's why I want to say: 'Bless them! Bless my mummy for being patient with me, bless my daddy for handing me his big flat TV screen and bless my best friend for comforting me!' Am I saying this just for me? Probably!
Some brothers make fun of their sisters because the only thing they can think about is Rafa...Rafa, Rafa, Rafa and more Rafa. My mood changes when Rafa wins a match, my mood changes when he loses a match and my mood changes when I see him smile.
Most Rafa fans have the ability to change any serious conversation into something about The Man!
Some of us have pics in our wallets instead of pics of our dog, including me. Some read a book about Spanish history in less than a week! I repeat; just some of us!!

What's that all about?!?! We might need a shrink sooner than we all expected, no? (Oh my, I did it again) That little 'no?' is making everybody in my environment absolutely crazy, cuckoo, loco and verrückt!
Rafa, why did you introduce me to that magnificent word that is really helpful and gets used more than we would like? Although I'm a Spanish speaker since birth, it is common to use it but not as much as I do! And especially when I speak English! Most of the English speakers I know who are fans of Rafa can't help but use that delightful 'no?' at the end of a sentence.

'Your Rafita' - that's what my mother would say every time we had a conversation about him. I'll repeat it: Bless her! I think she foresaw everything which would happen the first moment I saw Rafa playing for the very first time in 2005. She can't deny that she took part in the drooling session which lasted for almost 2 hours that day in front of the TV. And she still does, but she is now having fun by teasing me - just like all my friends do. Most of them have already accepted the nightmare they have to live day after day by spending time with me, a Rafa-freak. At first they always said: Oh God, I hope you're not talking about that butt-picker again! But they got over it. Good for them, because they will have to live with my obsession, for a long time!
What can be done about it? I'm not asking a rhetorical question here! I'm being serious! What the hell can I do for my sanity? Answers please - I need them! I spent my first salary on a trip to Roland Garros to be close to our boy! I spend most of the day with the people that know how I feel - VB members.
We buy Spanish flags, we buy Babolat raquets, we wear Nike outfits and some girls and boys even wear piratas!!! Call it what you like it - obsession, mentally unstable, crazy, psychos, freaks...those words won't hold us down from keeping on being 'obsessed' with Rafa Nadal. And if we have to go to an asylum, then so be it - although no one can take us away from the sweetness, excitement and giddiness we get, every time we see our Rafa play to his maximum!

That's what caught my attention the first time I saw him - not his looks, no, no, not at all. The passion he shows on the court, the love for tennis, the power and the will. His very good looking image is just a tiny little thing that comes along with everything and drives me nuts!
