Hi. I saw Rafa today during his practice sessions. Zara had told me that Rafa had practice after 5. So I was waiting for him to arrive for practice from 4. Moya came first followed by Baggy. So I knew Rafa would be coming soon because he would practice with Moya. But he didnt come for long after Moya. Then finally he arrived along with Tomeu. I was so exited to see Rafa again after a year. So I went to him for a picture. But the security guards came in between and didn't let us take a picture with him. So Rafa said he would be back in 10 mins. So we were waiting. Then he finally came out. I wanted a picture with him then but there were a few kids waiting for autographs and Rafa was in a hurry to get to practice so he told me he would surely take a pic and sign autographs after practice. Also it was his first practice after getting to Chennai. Later Tomeu came out and I got a pic with him and went into court to watch Rafa and Moya practice. Rafa seemed to be hitting the ball well after his winter break so he seems in good shape and injury free. Hopefully he would go on to win this and remain injury free the whole year.
Rafa, Moya and Roig kept cracking jokes in Spanish in between practice and laughing which was so cute. Rafa just lifted his shirt a few times during practice to wipe his sweat and I was drooling. I was sitting in front so I did manage to get some pics of them practice. Also Rafa came forward a few times and was smiling to Moya and Roig. He was so cute I almost died.
I was there today for the opening ceremony and Rafa and Tomeus doubles match. For the opening ceremony Rafa came with Moya and Baghdaits. Rafa was sitting with Moya the whole time cracking jokes and making all sorts of funny faces which was so amusing (he's still such a kid). Then as usual they were presented with bouquets and stuff. Then first up was Mallise's match and he came to court in an auto rickshaw, he looked so embarrassed during the ride. Anyways after that was Rafa and Tomeu's doubles match. It was great to see Rafa in his trademark match outfit and playing after the winter break. The match started well for Rafa and Tomeu but Marcos and Giquel just played better after that. Rafas serve especially didn’t seem to be working. Hopefully Rafa and Tomeu got some match practice for their singles. Go Rafa!!! Go Tomeu!!!
I was so happy to see Rafa on New Year's Day. Once he came to the stadium today he went to watch Salva's match. He was sitting and cheering on Tomeu in the first set. Later he came out and signed autographs and stuff but was in a hurry to leave for his match so he ran off. It was a good match for Rafa and great for him to start his new year with a good win. But his serve still seems to be a problem cos he was broken a couple of times by Montcourt. Hope he improves on it for future matches and goes on to win the Chennai open. Baghdatis lost today so he may have it easier.
Hey…I GOT A PIC WITH RAFA…!!! FINALLY….lol
Anyways about today…..as usual I was waiting there for Rafa….Tomeu came first and went for practice….then I thought maybe Rafa was coming…..He didn't come for long and it was getting late and I really wanted a pic with him. Then finally he came a few minutes after Tomeu came back from practice. So it was a long wait for Rafa today but was worth it. He came in a bright red striped t shirt and was looking HOT. Then my friend wanted his autograph so I got his autograph and asked him if I could take a pic. He agreed and then went for his match. It was a great victory for Rafa today. He was sooo cute after the match. He threw his bandana and stuff but he didn't throw any in the stand I was sitting then he kicked one of his autographed balls to the crowds(which was so cute) but again not in my stand!!! But anyways great win for Nadal and it was great that I finally managed to get a pic. Also a pic of mine appeared in one of the newspapers here today when I was cheering for Rafa on Tuesday.
Hey, sorry I couldn’t make it to the stadium on Friday because of the rains but I was there yesterday and I must say WHAT A MATCH!!!! One of the best I've seen recently. I did see Rafa in the stadium yesterday again looking HOT in a red t shirt. It was a long wait for him today as well 'cos he was late again so he didn't really stand for pics or autographs but I was anyways happy to just see him. I was really upset when Moya had 3 match points and thought Rafa was gonna loose and I was nearly in tears, but it was great the way Rafa fought back and it was great to view such a great match. It was one of the longest 3 setters ever. Anyways all the best to Rafa for the final. It would be great for him to start his new year with a title.
Well, what do I say about todays match? Rafa played very badly. I don’t remember the last time he played this badly. Didn’t put up any kind of a fight. I guess he was really tired after yesterdays marathon match. Anyways I did catch a final glimpse of Rafa today before his match again in a red t shirt looking hot, but he didn't really look well throught the match. Guess that’s why he lost. But anyways it was a great week and had a lot of fun and the best possible way for me to start my new year. I'm dead tired now after a full week of waiting long hours for Rafa, screaming during his matches, taking pics etc. It was also great writing this report for you guys.
