We are lucky enough to have a few of the Vamos Brigade flying the flag in Melbourne. They have been rushing back every night to tell us their exploits and upload their pictures for which we are truly grateful. Check out the full blogs from
Tess,
Alex and
Emma.
Here are the edited highlights of their first Rafa sightings.

I SAW HIM!!!!!!!!!! I SAW HIM!!!!!!!!! I SAW HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Early this afternoon, me and my friend decided we'd go hang around Crown. So we're sitting down for a while, saw Sharapova , then Fedza.. then we decided, we'd better hang round a bit longer... my friend was hoping that Andy would come through from Kooyong. She turns around and starts shaking me!! I turn around.... the first thing i see is THE HAIR and the GREEN TOP!!!! OMG!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! I died!!!!!!!
He came back down and I could have fallen back and fainted on the floor!!!!!! Let me just say girls.... tv, photos, and videos.... NONE of them do him ANYYYYYY justice what so ever!!!!! Just. just..... OMG!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

Rafa was really good and went round the entire court signing autograph. It was a mixed crowd though
predominately women of a certain age all going “you're hot Rafa”, “I love you” which was entertaining to
listen to, as they tried to persuade him to come and see them. But come he did and signed programs,
tickets, a variety of tennis balls, hats, basically anything he could actually sign.
I pulled out my
program and at first I thought he had missed it and I was "NO, come back please". And guess what, he
did. This guy is so media friendly and savvy. Whether he heard me say gracias I don’t know, but I was so
pleased to get it. I was shaking. Oh for God’s sake girl, I have met a fair number of sports people, but
none have ever turned me into a piece of wobbly jelly. The shaking lasts for sometime. Oh and his smell
was clean, no particular smell, just clean. Personally he was a little smaller than I thought not quite
as bulky, but still exceptionally gorgeous and talented.
